Watch the Former World’s Most Advanced Robot Dance with a Human

Asimo was a star in his day until he was discontinued in 2018. When he took the stage, he was considered as the world’s most advanced robot in the world. Honda created Asimo in 2000; an 18 year run of robotic fun. They enabled it to walk, run, jump, ascend and descend stairs, kick a soccer ball and dance. He could definitely do a lot more, but what was extremely fun to see Asimo do was to dance.

Asimo could actually keep up his dancing for 40 minutes. Can you last that long?
How tall was Asimo?
Asimo was just 130 cm (4' 3") tall. It was as short as an eight year old kid.

The world’s most functional robot, as of 2021, is Atlas. This machine includes an advanced compact hydraulic system; an advanced control system; advanced algorithm reasoning throughout various complex dynamic interactions; and it’s extremely strong and lightweight.
It’s a new day of new advanced technology. But we can never forget where it all started. Asimo was in a league of its own, and it was and still is a joy to see the little fellow put on a dance show for us. The former world’s most advanced robot can still put a smile on a face.
